TÕUG
Tõu
arenamine algas üheksateist sajandil.
Austraalia Siiditerjer on ainus kääbus
tõug, mis on hinnatud tõesti austraalia
omaks. Ja kuigi tõu sugupuu on britaaniast,
Austraalia Siiditerjer uhkelt üle aja
kandab lipik Valmistatud Austraalias.
Tähtsad
daatumid
1880 aasta –
Sidneis olid ilmunud esimesed Austraalia
Siiditerjerid (tol ajal Sidnei Silki),
esitatud Austraalia ringides.
1890-aastad –
Esimeme ametliku tõu tunnistamine Viktooria
riigis, siiski oli moodustatud Viktooria
Sidnei Silkiterjeeri Klubi.
1906 aasta -
Melburnis, Victooria oli veetud tõu esitamine.
1930 aasta –
oli veetud esimene esitamine Britaania
näitusel.
On arvamus, et esimesed tõu näited olid
saadud eriliste britaania terjeri tõugude,
kellest mõned pole enam tunnistatud ja
Austraalia terjeri ristamisega. Edaspidised
ristamised Dandie Dinmont'i terjeriga,
Skye terjeriga ja hiljem Yorkshire'i
terjeriga antsid oma panemust suurepärasesse
siidi karva ja väiksesse suurusesse,
mida me tana teame. Kuid, kõige ühisem
teooria Austraalias on see, et Silkid
olid pärinenud Austraalia terjeri ja
Yorkshire'i terjeri ristamisest. Sellest
vastastikusest paljundamisest kutsikaid
jagatati sortideks: Austraalia, Yorkshire'i
ja Siidi.
1932 aasta – Victooria
riigi koerakasvatuse nõukogu
kontrolliga oli keelatud vastastikuline
paljundamine kolme tüüpide vahel, et
kaitsta iga tõuidentsust.
25 marts 1955 aasta –
toimus ofitsiaalne Sidnei Siidi Terjeri
Klubi ja Ameerika Terjeri Klubi kohtumine,
ja sellegi aasta juulis üldhääletamisega
oli moodustatud Ameerika Siiditerjeri
Klubi.
Alguses, Sidneis peamise paiknemise pärast,
tõug oli teadud nagu Sidnei Silki. Aga
victooria ja tasmaania aretajad kaa esitasid
oma õigust nagu tõuasutajad, mille tõttu,
1956 aastal oli vastu võetud ofitsiaalne nimi Austraalia Siiditerjer.
Õrnalt nimetatud Silki.
1959 aasta – Austraalia Siiditerjer sai uursaks terves maailmas,
eriti Ameerikas, kus talle oli antud ofitsiaalne tunnustus, ja oli koostatud
tõu standart.
Austraalia siiditerjer – julge, braveerimise
täis, energiline koer, omav tugevad valve
instinkti, ja väikese suuruse vaatamata,
hingepõhjas
Silki on tõeline
Terjer! Tihti tundub, et Silki loendavar
ennast hiigesuureks koeraks, püüdud
kinni väikese keha lõksuga.
See on terava erksuse, püsiva tegevuse
ja juhulise väljakutse kehastamine. Alguses
aretasid nagu väikese närilise harrastajad,
kuid, täna kõigepealt
see on kõige
pere koer-konpanjon. Silki väga armastavad
lastega mangida ja hästi läbi saavad
teiste lemmik loomatega. Silki on väga
tähelepanelikud oma territooriumi suhtes
ja alati ohtu teatavad, olgu see varas,
poleng või
lihtsalt teie laste vallatus.
Aretajad avaldavad, et, kuigi Silkid
olid üks aeg väga agressiivsed, see erisus
oli märgatud ja aretajad püüdsid likvideerida
neid suurte, viisade jõupingustustega.
Kuid kindlameelne sõltumatus ja touloomus
võivad soodustada ebasõbralikku suhe
võõraste
koerte vastu.
Silki – vastupidav tõug. Mädanenud hambad
– kõigeuldine tervise probleem. See on
tõu geneetiline nõrkus.
Nürgaks kohaks
voib olla kaa geneetiline silmade haigus,
rusustav trahhee ja nõrgad põlveliiged.
Keskmine Silki eluiga on umbes 14-16
aastat.
Lõbus ja õrn Silkiloomus, ustavus
ja truudus, koos faktiga, et tavaliselt
tal on pikk elu, üsna lihtne hoolduses,
ei lõhna ja ei aja karva, ei ole kallis,
et ta ülal pidada plus on küllalt väike,
et igaühesse majandusse mahtuda, teeb
Austraalia Siiditerjeri populaarseks
ja sarmikaks koduloomaks. Kuigi Silki
on hinnatud kui üsna intellektuaalsed
ja väga lojaalsed, ikkagi võib
tulla mitteallumise moment. See tõttu
soovitakse
üld kuuletumise kursuse.
